Cross Cut Adhesion Test Kit CC3000
The TQC Cross Cut Adhesion Test KIT CC3000 is used to test the adhesion of dry coats of paint on their substrate by means of a series of cuts through the coating. Two series of parallel cuts cross angled to each other to obtain a pattern of 25 or 100 similar squares. The ruled area is evaluated by using a table chart after a short treatment with a stiff brush, or adhesive tape for hard substrates.
The cutting depth of the TQC Cross Cut Adhesion Test KIT CC3000 can be adjusted while the cutter is guided by two ball bearings to assure reproducible results. The depth of the TQC Cross Cut Adhesion Test KIT CC3000 is adjustable to measure coatings up to 250 µm thick.
Each TQC Cross Cut Adhesion Test KIT CC3000 contains a grip with cutter, a brush, an illuminated loupe and a roll of adhesive tape acc. EN ISO 2409.

"tqc" holland film applicator for sag and levelling
the tqc sag and levelling film applicator is a special film applicator with dual function. One side with 10 gaps from 75 to 300 micron to test the tendency to sag in relation to the film thickness. At the counter side 5 pairs of notches of increasing depth are made to create sets of two film stripes. The merging of the stripes can be evaluated to define the leveling ability. The high-grade stainless steel will not be affected by acid or base elements.

"TQC" Bird- Type Film Applicators 4- Sided
TQC Bird-type film applicator with flat edges. Four application sides for applying 4 different pre-defined thicknesses. The TQC Bird-type applicator is available in film width 50, 75 and 100mm and suitable for applying a host of different products onto flat and relatively solid substrates. The high-grade stainless steel will not be affected by acid or base elements.
We can give no guarantee of the wet thickness that will be obtained. The wet thickness is dependent upon the solids and vehicle content of the wet material as well as other factors. Film thickness deposited may vary from 40% to 80% of the actual gate clearance of the TQC Bird-type applicator.

"tqc" holland permeability cups
permeability cups for determining the water-vapour transmission of paints, varnishes, coatings, coating systems and related products. The permeability cup consists of a cup, seal ring and cover ring. The seal ring is designed to prevent turning when closing the cover. The permeability cup is suitable for testing both self-supporting coating and non-self-supporting coatings. Water-vapour transmission is of interest for high humidity conditions. The wet cup method is thus the reference method for determining water-vapour transmission, if agreed up on otherwise, other procedures or conditions the dry cup method may be used.

"tqc" holland pressure density cup
Density or specific gravity (sg) is affected by entrapped air bubbles in the liquid under test. The tqc vf2095 sg-cup has a fixed internal volume of 100 ml. Which is to be compressed by the mechanism of the density cup.
After rotation, agitation or dispersion gas and air can be entrapped within the material. Under pressure the air will dissolve better into the liquid and any bubbles that are left undissolved will be compressed to a fraction of their original size. Density of the liquid is defined at a very high level of repeatability by weighing.
The tqc pressure density cup can easily be taken apart to allow easy cleaning.
en iso 2811-4. Look up the appropriate standard for a correct execution of the test. The test may only be carried out if all parts of the pressure density cup have an identic serial number.

"tTQC"IMPACT TEST – TUBULAR IMPACT
The TQC Impact Test is used to determine the impact resistivity and flexibility of coatings. The dual scale instrument is equipped with a special guidance which assures that the distance between each impact is always according to the standard. For correct positioning a spirit-level is built-in. Each Impact test comes as a complete set (instrument and accessoires) to perform a test according DIN/ISO 6272, ASTM D2794 and ASTM G14
|Type||Dust Test Kit|
Dust Test KitThe TQC Dust Test Kit according to ISO 8502-3 allows assessment of the quantity and size of dust particles on surfaces prepared for painting. Dust on blast cleaned surfaces can reduce coating adhesion, leading to premature coating failure and sub-standard coating finish. The dust test kit can be used in accordance with the recommendations of BS EN ISO 8502-3 either as a pass/fail test or as a permanent record of the presence of dust

Controlled speed and pressure ensures repeatable results
Coating by wire wound bars or gap applicators
Two models offer coating areas of up to 170 x 250mm or 325 x 250mm
Multiple coatings in one operation for comparison purposes
Standard coating speeds infinitely variable between 2 and 15m/min
A range of adjustable or fixed gap applicators are available for use. These are widely used for higher viscosity or thixotropic
materials and for high coat weights.
MICROMETER ADJUSTABLE APPLICATOR
This applicator incorporates an adjustable spreading blade using micrometers, toaccurately set the substrate/blade gap from
0–10mm in 10µm increments, providing an extremely versatile tool. It gives a coating width of either 100mm or 200mm, and
produces a wet film thickness of 50-80% of the gap setting.
Precision ground all over, these stainless steel applicators provide a coating width of 100mm
and are available with gap sizes of 25, 50, 75,100, 150 or 200µm.The wet film thickness
produced is 50-80% of the gap size.
CUBE FILM APPLICATOR
This provides a coating width of 41mm, and is made of precision ground stainless steel. Each applicator is supplied with two
gap sizes:– 50 and 100µm or 150 and 200µm. The wet film thickness is about 50% of the gap size
This device enables the user to coat four separate film thicknesses with a single applicator. Providing a coating width of
60mm, the 4-sided applicator is supplied approximately equal to 50% of the gap size and providing a wet film thickness of half
the gap size
K WEDGE BAR
An economical form of fixed gap applicator, produced by winding wire onto a stainless steel rod. Gaps between 50 and 1500µm are
available in 50µm steps. The wet film thickness is approximately equal to half the gap size, and a coating width of 100mm or
200mm is produced.
Recommended when coating on to a delicate or stretchy substance such as aluminium foil or polythene.
This is a rubber faced bed connected to a vacuum pump which holds the material perfectly flat. Vacuum is applied from the edges of the substrate only
A smooth aluminium faced bed with vacuum applied via multiple holes over the entire substrate surface. This is
suitable for more rigid substances, and especially recommended when coating on to paint charts with gap
For use when coating on to a magnetic substrate such as tin plate, to ensure a totally flat surface. Permanent magnets are used, which are operated by an on/off key
Specialised for applying coatings which require heating.
Examples include hot melts and electrographic inks. The bed has a smooth aluminium face which can be heated up to 150 degrees and is set by a digital temperature controller.
This provides a perfectly flat surface which is very easily cleaned. It is especially recommended for gap applicators which provide a hard surface.
